Demolition
-
The Process: It begins with hazardous material abatement (like asbestos or lead removal), utility disconnection, and structural stripping. Engineers calculate exactly how a building will fall to ensure safety.
-
Methods: Utilizes high-reach excavators, hydraulic shears, and occasionally controlled explosives for high-rise structures.
Land Clearing
-
The Process: It involves clearing vegetation, removing topsoil, grubbing out massive tree roots, and digging out boulders.
-
Grading & Mass Excavation: Once cleared, the land is leveled and compacted according to civil engineering blueprints to handle proper water drainage and support future building foundations.
Concrete Crushing
-
The Process: Heavy machinery feeds raw concrete debris into a massive, mobile jaw or impact crusher. Magnets automatically strip out internal rebar and steel mesh.
-
The machine crushes the concrete into various aggregate sizes (often called RCA, or Recycled Concrete Aggregate). This salvaged material is then reused directly on the same site as a sturdy sub-base for new roads, parking lots, or building pads, saving thousands in material costs.
Industrial Dismantling
-
The Process: The goal is often to salvage valuable assets rather than just level the building. It requires the careful deconstruction of heavy machinery, storage tanks, piping networks, and structural steel.
-
Complexity: This work involves high-risk hazards like residual chemicals, high-voltage systems, and massive structural loads that must be systematically piece-marked, cut down, and rigged for removal or asset recovery.
